- Abstract
The article discusses the New York State Constitution in relation to the New York Court of Appeals' decision to reject a request to legalize physician-assisted suicide (PAS) in the 2017 case Myers v. Schneiderman. A 1994 report from the New York State Task Force on Life and the Law is examined, along with the U.S. constitutional law cases Washington v. Glucksberg and Vacco v. Quill.
