- Abstract
The article provides information on Great Britain's Foreign Exchange Joint Standing Committee. It was established in 1973, under the auspices of the Bank of England, as a forum for banks and brokers to discuss broad market issues. The Committee comprises senior staff from many of the major banks operating in the foreign exchange market in London, representatives from brokers, the Association of Corporate Treasurers--representing corporate users of the foreign exchange market, the Financial Services Authority and the British Bankers' Association.
