- Abstract
The article discusses why Aboriginal Australians have positive memories of Christian missions and the content of the letters of petition that they had written to mission authorities. Topics include the expectations that Aboriginal people had from these missions on the social, material and spiritual benefits missionaries could bring to their communities, and the expectations that missionaries had from the Aboriginal people.
