- Authors
Dhaem, Jeanne
- Abstract
The article describes a study which examined the effects of two levels of intervention designed to address students' disruptive behavior. The research investigated the actions that teachers can use to quickly and consistently counter disruptive and off-task behaviors. It concludes that teachers find that nonverbal responses to disruption can not only help ameliorate difficulties, but can do so while maintaining a positive classroom environment and minimizing disruptions to instruction.
