- Title
Engaging Students With Behavior Disorders in Mathematics Practice Using the High-p Strategy.
- Authors
Vostal, Brooks R.
- Abstract
The article describes the use of high-performance (high-p) strategy to modify mathematics assignments in order to increase the motivation of students with emotional and behavioral problems (EBP). According to the study, one feature of the success of high-p in mathematics applications was that the preferred problems were completed more quickly than the non-preferred problems. This in turn increases the student's motivation to initiate and engage in more difficult works.
