- Abstract
The article presents a survey which reviews significant case law from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Federal District Courts in New York. The decision in the case involving South Korea's Hanvit Bank and Chohung Bank were based on the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act. The Court of Appeals dismissed the claims against Robert Mugabe and Stan Mudenge of Tachiona due to their entitlement to immunity from suit. It discusses the ruling in the case Paradis versus Ghana Airways Ltd. by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
