- Abstract
The author discusses the aspects of sexual conflict over parental care for their offspring in response to the research of M. Paquet and P.T. Smiseth on the author's perspective as a herpetologist. The author also discusses the species with male-only parental care or maternal effect can be found in the poison of frog of family Dendrobatidae. The cites that a few species of poison frogs such as Ranitomeya imitator have biparental care that manipulates maternal effects to offspring.
