- Abstract
The article discusses medical apology programs and the unauthorized practice of law in the U.S. as of April 2012, focusing on medical facility policies which require physicians to meet with injured patients and discuss medical errors and potential compensation for affected patients. The Washington Supreme Court case Jones v. Allstate Insurance Co., which deals with an auto insurer's apology program, is also examined.
