- Abstract
Primary care has been consolidated as a fundamental pillar of the National Health System. It still shows potential for improvement in the organization, quality and efficiency of services, which is why evaluating and improving the organizational climate is essential for management systems. In order to evaluate the impact of an intervention to improve the organizational climate at the Policlinico Guillermo Tejas Silva, a quasiexperimental study of intervention type was conducted from November 2021 to April 2022. The universe consisted of 164 workers belonging to the polyclinic. The sample was treated proportionally and consisted of 84 workers distributed as follows: Basic Work Group 41, 31 Services and Departments 12. The study was designed in three stages: diagnostic, intervention and evaluation. The percentage was used as a summary measure for qualitative variables and the Mc Nemar test was used for statistical validation of the changes before and after the intervention was applied. With the application of the program, the organizational climate improved in the dimensions of organizational behavior, structure and management styles from 58% to 79% overall, 92.0% of the CMFs complied with the impact indicators and dissatisfaction with the services provided was reduced (93.0%). It was concluded that the intervention strategy achieved effectiveness in the outcome indicators.
