- Abstract
The article presents the case study of a 47 year old female whose cracked tooth syndrome was initially misdiagnosed. The symptoms and features in this case that are characteristic to the syndrome include unexplained pain in the mandible, involvement of a mandibular second molar, and no signs of pathology on a radiograph. After initial misdiagnosis of the patient, diagnosis of the syndrome was established and the affected second molar was extracted that resulted in the cessation of all symptoms.
