- Abstract
Introduction: Post traumatic growth comes in some individuals that several psychological factors can affect in formation it. So because post traumatic growth in hepatitis B has not been studied, this study concerned with investigation of the causal relationship between personality traits and post traumatic growth with mediating role of cognitive emotional regulation in patients with hepatitis B. Methods: The statistical society of this research was patients with hepatitis B in research center of Shiraz Namazi hospital. 165 patients with hepatitis B randomly selected and cloninger personality, garnefski cognitive emotional regulation and post traumatic growth questionnaire were used. Software SPSS and AMOS and path analysis were used for data analysis. Results: Results indicated that personality traits of reward dependency, self-transcendence, self-directedness, cooperativeness, persistence, and cognitive emotional regulation have significant and direct effect on post traumatic growth that Beta coefficient related to these variables are in turn 0.082, 0.074, 0.064, 0.451, 0.081, and 0.380. Also results indicated that novelty seeking, harm avoidance, reward dependency, and cooperativeness effect on post traumatic growth via cognitive emotional regulation that Beta coefficient related to these variables are in turn 0.084, 0.067, 0.086, 0.141. Conclusion: Personality traits in addition direct effect on post traumatic growth, effect on post traumatic growth via cognitive emotional regulation.
