- Abstract
This work presents the results of the study through which we have followed the morphological and physiological changes in two species, Taraxacum officinale and Allium cepa, which were determined by pollutants of the energetic industry, respectively by heavy metals. Morphological changes were studied in spontaneous species Taraxacum officinale, collected from the waste dumps in Urdari and Mătăsari localities, waste resulting from coal mining, and the physiological ones in Allium cepa, using for studying bulbs and seeds, Sttutgarter variety. In order to study Taraxacum species, we have worked with three groups of plants: Urdari, Mătăsari (Gorj County) and control (plants from Balş area). The study was to determine the number of floral stems from a rosette, the dimensions of the leaves (length, width), the appearance of lamina (the sectarian level of the leaf), the determination of the number of leaves/plant. Microscopic observations were made on epidermal cells and stomata, in terms of their size and density of stomata. The results obtained for each batch of plants were compared among themselves and with the blank.
