- Abstract
The article discusses the study which investigates the contribution of invasive eastern red cedar (Juniperus virginiana) on the expansion of Amblyomma americanum ticks that carries spotted fever group (SFG) rickettsiosis in Oklahoma. The study chose seven locations in the region wherein a total of 708 ticks A. americanum and Dermacentor variabilis were collected. Result suggests that A. americanum uses eastern red cedar for maturity in the region.
