- Abstract
The article "Economic Fairy Tales. One Hundred and One Legends about Economy, Work, and Social Issues" deals with various legends and myths in the field of economics and social policy. The authors Patrick Schreier and Kai Eicker-Wolf criticize neoliberal reform ideas that are supported by such legends. They have collected and analyzed 101 legends, which are divided into eight thematic areas such as work and the labor market, welfare state and social policy, and economy and economic trends. The authors shed light on the neoliberal background of each legend and critically examine them. They argue from a macroeconomic perspective and show that many of these legends do not correspond to the actual connections.
