- Abstract
The article presents the author's statements regarding the distinctiveness of the Arabic culture, identity and language in Israel. The author mentions the connectivity between Hebrew and Arabic languages and points out the equality between the two identities. In addition, the author notes that these languages are both national languages in the country. However, the author discovers the discrimination between the two languages, where Arabic language is viewed with negative connotations including oppression, inequality, and corruption. Furthermore, the author notes the importance of recognizing the Arabic language in the country for the sake of peace and unity.
