Bedingungen des Glaubens in einer nachchristlichen Gesellschaft: Charles Taylors Analyse des säkularen Zeitalters und ihre Bedeutung für den freikirchlichen Gemeindebau.
- Authors

- Abstract
Charles Taylor's influential work A Secular Epoch has evoked surprisingly little attention in the discipline of practical theology up to now. The present essay first condenses Taylor's genealogy of the secular era in order to make out the radical cultural changes which, in particular, Christian churches are facing today. Then, in connection with that, the conditions of faith in a post-Christian society expressed by Taylor are summed up. Finally, these considerations demonstrate that this cultural-historical mega-narrative has certain benefits with respect to practical theology because Taylor's book raises issues which are relevant for a cutting-edge missionary ecclesiology and church planting, especially in the domain of Free Churches.
