- Title
Commentary on Dowling et al. (2016): Is it time to stop conducting problem gambling prevalence studies?
- Authors
Markham, Francis; Young, Martin
- Abstract
The author argues that resources should be used to support research focused on reducing the incidence of gambling-related harm instead of problem gambling prevalence studies, such as a dual-frame study conducted by Dowling et al. Topics include the accuracy of prevalence studies, the impact of survey instrument designs on the comparison of problem gambling between populations, and changing trends in sample frames.
