- Abstract
This study examines the opinions of teachers about the digital competencies of administrators in schools. The study was carried out with the phenomenological design, which is one of the qualitative research methods. In the study, the participants were determined by using the criterion sampling method, which is one of the non-probability sampling methods. The participants of the study consisted of 41 teachers who completed a non-thesis master's degree in the field of Educational Administration at the Fırat University Institute of Educational Sciences in 2022-2023. In the study, semi-structured interview forms containing questions prepared by the researchers were prepared as a data collection tool, and semi-structured interview forms were applied by making face-to-face interviews. The obtained data were analyzed by content analysis method. In line with the findings obtained in the study, teachers stated that school administrators should have digital competencies such as using digital devices, basic office software, officially used package programs, social media and online communication software. They stated that managers with digital competencies will increase efficiency in the organization, use time and energy more effectively, increase the effectiveness of internal communication and solve problems faster. It has been stated that the pandemic process has made a significant contribution to the use and development of digital competencies, and that managers have developed digital competencies in order to quickly adapt to the process.
