- Abstract
Robert Loynes, known to most as Bob, graduated in 1956 from Cambridge where he had been an undergraduate in Mathematics at Trinity College. Bob's interest in what it is useful to teach led to the introduction of a very practical stream into Sheffield's undergraduate and MSc curricula.
