- Abstract
The article focuses on the paediatric environmental health as the major concern of World Health Organization. More than 5 million children younger than 14 years of age die yearly worldwide due to illnesses related to the environment where they live, study and play. The World Health Organization stimulates the development of strategies that allows to approach, disclose and solve the problems of paediatric environmental health in special units and centers of excellence. The World Health Organization claims to be necessary to create a global alliance to warrant a healthy atmosphere for children, and consequently, the Paediatric Environmental Health Units constitute an authentic emergent and urgent necessity .
