- Abstract
One of the features of population optimization algorithms is the fact that in the vast majority of cases for them there is a rather curious analogy in human society, living or inanimate nature. So, population algorithms of evolution of the mind, colony of ants, swarm of honey bees, fireflies, gravitational and electromagnetic search, etc. are known. All of these systems are characterized by the fact that they are composed of individuals who can perform only one task and perform complex tasks in conjunction with each other. By mimicking such action, swarm intelligence algorithms attempt to solve a complex mathematical problem. In this article we present using swarm intelligence in mechanical engineering, especially in laser technology of hardening.
