- Abstract
Based on the importance of an adequate management of occupational safety and health (MOSH); the objective of this research is to design and validate, by expert criteria, a competency training program for the effective management of OSH. For this, a mixed methodology is used in two stages: a qualitative stage, where it is proposed to prepare a preliminary design of the program and a quantitative stage, in order to validate the program designed by the Delphi method. Finally, the preliminary proposal for the design of the program is refined based on the evaluations of the experts. As the most important results, it was found that the invariant elements of the program, called "GeSSTar" are: the approach of the objectives and the foundation of the program, the definition of participants, contents, the theoretical and methodological assumptions, those responsible for the training, the general organization, as well as the evaluation strategy of the same. Experts' evaluations regarding its design were favorable in general, reaching an accepted consensus of 71%, so a second round of validation was not required and the program was perfected based on the recommendations of the same. This constitutes an alternative for the formation of human resources in the MOSH with a psychosocial, integral, integrated and participative approach.
