- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 67-year-old man with chronic obstructive compulsive disorder (COPD) exacerbation and chronic bronchopneumonia which highlights rounding the adverse effects of clozapine and the diagnosis of acute colonic pseudo-obstruction or Ogilvie syndrome. Topics include reason for the decision to hold clozapine as his daily psychiatric medication, adverse effects of clozapine, and the need of psychiatrist to be aware of the constipation conundrum with clozapine.
