- Abstract
In this paper we present the main results of a research work developed between 2010 and 2012, which one of its main objectives was to analyze the representations of the objective conditions of existence, assigned to characters of animated children movies. We worked with three popular films worldwide: The Lion King (1994), Happy Feet (2006) and The Jungle Book (1967). The analysis allows us to say that, despite the changes society suffered in almost 40 years, children movies tend to recover representations historically legitimated, and contribute to the reproduction of dominant meanings and hierarchies.
