- Abstract
The article provides summaries of three different snow and avalanche workshops that took place in 2023-2024. The Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop (USAW) and the Professional Snow and Avalanche Workshop (PROSAW) offered in-person and virtual continuing education sessions on various topics related to avalanches, including weather, technology, mental health, and avalanche accidents. The Eastern Snow and Avalanche Workshop (ESAW) returned to an in-person format after three years and focused on topics specific to avalanche terrain in the northeastern United States. The Montana State University Snow and Avalanche Workshop (MSU SAW) featured presentations on avalanche research, critical incident response, and mental health. Attendees at all three workshops found the presentations on mental health and well-being particularly impactful.
