- Abstract
The Front Cover shows the molecular structure of the N^N Pt(II) bisacetylide complex containing two different acetylide ligands. The two acetylide ligands are based on the pyrene (Py) and naphthalimide (NI) chromophores, and they have different singlet‐state and triplet‐state energy levels. Singlet and triplet energy transfer were observed for the complex. We found that the coordinated NI shows redshifted absorption, but the triplet state is confined on the Py moiety. The photophysical properties of the complex result from the interaction of the two ligands. The complex was used for singlet oxygen sensitizing and triplet–triplet annihilation upconversion.
