- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 51-year-old man experiencing chest pain and syncope without any prodromal symptoms after taking the first doxazosin. The transthoracic echocardiogram conducted to the patient showed left ventricular ejection fraction. It discusses the effect of doxazosin on cardiac contractility, in which it says that the drug induces reflex sympathetic release.
