With the extreme rarity of salivary gland carcinosarcoma in the dog, there is little information available regarding the potential biologic behavior of these tumors. B, ×60 objective, C, ×100 objective gl Cytologic interpretation: Malignant neoplasia, likely of salivary origin, with three distinc... The fine-needle aspirates were highly bloody, negatively impacting sample quality, and contained low numbers of tissue cells on a clear to pale pink background. The histologic diagnosis was carcinosarcoma of the salivary gland.
