- Abstract
The article reports on the development of a turf grass by Marysville, Ohio-based lawn and garden company Scotts Miracle-Gro Co. that has been genetically modified (GM) to grow shorter, thicker and darker green than its conventional counterparts. The grass is another novel plant to fall outside the purview of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).The company states that the grass will require less mowing and fewer nutrient inputs and is also glyphosate tolerant.
