- Authors
Sheridan, Cormac
- Abstract
The article presents information on the positive results observed from human clinical trials of several nanoparticle-based drugs. BIND-014, a polylactide (PLA)-based nanoparticle bearing the cytotoxic drug docetaxel developed by collaboration between BIND Biosciences of Cambridge, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School has shown positive results against cancerous tumors. Nanoparticle based drugs are also showing promise for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and diabetes.
