- Abstract
The article presents information on self-defense and its history in the U.S. with reference to the use of militias and arms by the white Americans for defending themselves against the tribes especially the Indian tribes. The tribe engages themselves in armed conflicts against the colonies of the U.S. due to the aggression and encroachment by the Americans and in order to defend their homelands. Information on the tribes viewed as savage by the Supreme Court Justices is also presented.
