- Abstract
The article focuses on the need to extends the voting rights in federal elections to permanent residents to combat the obstacles to accessing citizenshipin democratic justice. It mentions that the history of progressive electoral reform in Australia with the political participation and engagement of compulsory voting. It also mentions that extension of voting rights to permanent resident in national and state elections which lead to the participation in other democratic processes.
