- Abstract
The article discusses legal issues of gender dysphoria in children, a mental distress caused by unhappiness of a person about his own sex and desire to be identified as opposite sex in Australia. It mentions challenges faced by children such as social isolation, depression, and suicide; decision taken by the High Court in the case Secretary, Department of Health and Community Services v. JWB to not take consent from parents in medical treatment of children or people with disabilities.
