CHINA WATCH: Over 80,000 feared killed in devastating earthquake.
- Abstract
The article reports on the numbers of casualties in devastating earthquake that affected provinces in China. According to sources, over 80,000 people were killed that includes 62,664 confined as 23,775 missing. On May 12, 2008, an earthquake measuring 8 on the Richter Scale hit China's Sichuan Province with its epicenter in the Tibetan County of Wenchuan Prefecture which is considered as the biggest humanitarian crisis since 1976.
