- Abstract
The article discusses employment discrimination in the information age, particularly concerning race, criminal records, and ex-offender status in criminal background checks, and the difficulties of applying Title VII of the U.S. legislation the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It proposes a Health Law Framework utilizing Title I of the U.S. legislation the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the U.S. legislation the Genetic Information Antidiscrimination Act (GINA). It also discusses guidelines set by the U.S. government agency the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
