- Abstract
The article presents an exploration into the poetry of William Wordsworth and his treatment of literary duty. Several of his poems, especially "Ode to Duty," are analyzed in regards to his use of the first person and their reflections on his personal aesthetics, career trajectory, and work ethics as a writer. The connections between Wordsworth's idealism and his literary output are particularly examined.
