- Abstract
The authors reflect on the diagnostic challenge of differentiation among arboviral infections especially when dealing with special populations such as pregnant women and children. It cites the term "ChikDenMaZika syndrome" created to establish an effective clinical pattern recognition approach and diagnostic management strategy in cases of infections suggestive of arthropod-borne viruses. They cite the need for clinicians to consider the overlapping clinical features among new pathogens.
