The article reports that there are only five panel physicians in Canada that the U.S. government hired to perform physical examinations and provide medical clearances to Canadians, as of February 2014. Topics discussed include the case of Ellen Richardson, a Canadian who was hospitalized for mental health issue and was refused entry to the U.S., the cost of half-hour medical appointment, and the lack of access of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials to any medical records.
