- Title
Walking through time in the Lake Michigan dunes.
- Authors
Jackson, Stephen T.
- Abstract
The article offers the author's insights regarding the marshlands in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in Gary, Indiana. He mentions that the ecological changes in the marsh can be studied with radiometric dating in order to place event chronologies on time scale and to reveal concurrent patterns in time and space. He notes that the Anthropocene rewilding is observed in the area as industrial, urban and agricultural lands are abandoned and novel ecosystems emerged.
