- Abstract
An essay is presented critiques the literary works of American poet Ronald Johnson and Scottish poet Ian Hamilton Finaly to the twentieth-century poetry. It offers the literary theme of the poets focusing on rural environmental programs for the Scottish Highlands and American Black Mountain poetry. The author also discusses the influences of the Black Mountain poetics in underpinning Johnson's work.
