- Abstract
The article presents a study on the two types of fly ash belite cements (FABC). It particularly examines the physical characteristics of calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H) gel formed during the hydration of FABC. It mentions that sorption isotherm techniques and pore-size distribution were used to identify the gel of the two FABC. It notes that the cements are particularly appealing due to environmental advantages of their fabrication. It further explores the hydration of a FABC gathered from an alkaline hydrothermal treatment. Discussions about the detailed fabrication process of the cement, as well as the procedures undertaken in the conduct of the study are also provided.
