- Abstract
The article focuses on improvisation in music. The authors state that musical improvisation is important, defining it as the art of making up music spontaneously or the spontaneous composition of music. They cite the characteristics of good improvisation and the musical styles that feature improvisation. They conclude that improvisation is a skill that can be learned and improved with practice. Sequences that use improvisation and question-and-answer in teaching music are also outlined.
