- Abstract
The article reports on research conducted to quantify daily stepping in ambulatory individuals with spinal cord injury and its relationship with clinical walking performance measures and specific demographics, impairments, and activity limitations. Researchers evaluated 50 people with chronic, motor incomplete spinal cord injury. They found that daily stepping is extremely limited in individuals with incomplete spinal cord injury and that impairments in knee extension strength and balance may contribute to this.
