Coating by serum albumin reduces the cytotoxicity of single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). In their work on page 1244, W. Zhong and co‐workers conduct studies to determine why this reduced cytotoxicity occurs. They suggest that the effect may be observed because albumin blocks the adsorption of intracellular proteins on the tubes.
