- Authors
LEMKE, BENJAMIN
- Abstract
The article discusses the constitutionality of mandatory human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccinations for males in the U.S. as of April 2010. The Modified Hand Formula balancing test, which reportedly considers social economic burdens and personal liberty interests in relation to mandatary vaccinations, is addressed. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's approval of the vaccine Gardasil is mentioned, along with the U.S. Supreme Court smallpox vaccine-related case Jacobson v. Massachusetts.
