- Abstract
The article focuses on doctoral training centre (DTC) model in Great Britain. It mentions that doctor of philosophy (PhD) students are being trained in cohorts in a DTC, a university-based centre focusing on highly specific areas such as nuclear fission and chemical synthesis, instead in one academic's research group. It adds that other British funding agencies are following Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council's (EPSRC) lead in opening DTCs.
