- Abstract
The article discusses the economic empowerment of youth of color with disabilities. In light of the global financial crisis of 2008-2009, the author believes that there is an increased need for the improvement of financial knowledge and skills of America's youth. Organizations such as the National Association of Federal Credit Unions, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (FDIC) and Citibank have developed financial educational tools. Multiple resources, organizations and steps are listed regarding the financial literacy of students of color with disabilities.
