The Social Construction of Nature and Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers.
- Authors
WITHERS, JEREMY
- Abstract
The article presents a film criticism of the 1994 motion picture "Natural Born Killers," directed by Oliver Stone. The author explores how the killing spree of two lovers, Mickey and Mallory Knox, is depicted in the film as a commentary on human nature, on innate evil or good and on the natural world. The author also claims that the film presents a unique exploration of the ideology of nature as a political, cultural and philosophical entity.
