- Abstract
The article deals with the new guidelines issued by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force on prostate cancer screening. Information on the prevalence of prostate cancer in the U.S. is provided. According to the guidelines, healthy men should not undergo routine prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening. Concerns were expressed by the American Urological Association over the task force's recommendations.
