- Abstract
This article discusses the validation of a new facial skin analysis device called AI Skincare across different Fitzpatrick skin types. The study recruited adult participants with various skin types and compared the results of the AI Skincare system with the Canfield VISIA® Complexion Analysis model Generation 7. The study found that there were no statistical differences between the correlation coefficients based on skin type, and the tablet application had superior agreement with a physician's assessment for most metrics. The article concludes that the tablet application is a valid instrument for skin analysis across patients with all skin types, although the study had limitations such as a small sample size and a single physician assessment.
